Venus Bay Getaways situated in South Gippsland is 2 hours by car from Melbourne and ideally located halfway between Wilsons Promontory and Phillip Island, making our establishment an ideal destination for the perfect getaway. The spectacular coastal views as you wind your way through Kilcunda are just a small indication of the untamed coastline to be experienced in South Gippsland.

With a short 300 metre stroll from the property, why not enjoy a morning walk before breakfast or a romantic sunset walk along the magnificent 22km coastline, commencing from Beach Number 2. 

Venus Bay has five superb surf beaches with fine golden sand and the state's longest sand spit at Anderson Inlet.  Don't forget to bring your fishing rod as Tarwin Lower, with it's broad, slow flowing Tarwin River, is home to the 35 metre 'long table' which has been curved and sloped to symbolise the river; making this a fabulous spot for fishing.   The boardwalks alongside the river and the nearby Bald Hills Wetlands provide a perfect opportunity to view the abundant bird life.

Our large 2 storey Guesthouse sits on one acre of secluded coastal dunes bordering Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and offers 4 star AAA rated "hotel-style" boutique accommodation.  The upstairs wing exclusively for guests comprises 4 guests rooms, foyer area with tea and coffee making facilities, 80+ DVD Library, books, magazines, Day Spa Room and balcony which houses our Infrared Sauna overlooking the hydrotherapy spa area nestled under a balinese gazebo. 

Each guest room features private ensuites, LCD/DVD Combo, complimentary DVD Library, wireless internet access (charges may apply), stocked mini bars, tea and coffee making facilities, robes and slippers, quality linen, Spa Essence toiletries and hairdryers. Accommodating a maximum of 8 adults ensures that we can personalise your getaway experience.

Our downstairs area features our guest lounge room, bar and fully licensed restaurant all for our in-house guests to enjoy.  We welcome you to relax in the individual leather arm chairs while enjoying the welcome beverage of your choice.  Why not sample a glass of local Koonwarra wine from Lyre Bird Hill Winery, a glass of beer from the famous Grand Ridge Brewery Beer from Mirboo North or tempt your taste buds with the aroma from Di Bella Coffee (the ultimate coffee experience!).  During your stay why not challenge your loved one in a game of chess, scrabble, yahtzee, monopoly or just sit, relax, rest and rejuvenate.

Rise to the aroma of our breakfast delights and Di Bella espresso coffee after a morning beach walk. A continental breakfast is included in your tariff consisting of Juices, Cereals, Toast, Condiments, Speciality Teas and Espresso Coffee. For something a little more indulgent, fresh local free-range eggs may be more satisfying.  Indulge in Eggs Benedict, Royale, Florentine, Deluxe scrambled eggs, good old fashion bacon and eggs.  (additional charges apply for a cooked breakfast). Breakfast is served daily between 9.00 - 10.30am.. 

Our fully licensed restaurant opened for dinner by prior arrangement features individual tables for all guests to enjoy intimacy and privacy, candles and fantastic local produce.  Our Gippsland Natural Scotch Fillet Steak is a mouth watering winner!  For those that love fish are sure to enjoy our local gummy shark beer battered in the famous Grand Ridge Brewery Beer!  As we pride ourselves on freshness and quality, we will require menu selections prior to arrival. We are open every Saturday and Monday evenings for in-house guests.  Other days are by prior arrangement.
