As FIR is natural and already a part of everyday life, this makes it very safe for use in saunas. The human body needs Far Infrared energy to sustain life, and as such the Far Infrared sauna experience means we are not exposing ourselves to unsafe or unnatural conditions like that of a traditional or steam sauna.

The steam & exceptionally hot air generated in traditional saunas contacts the body’s skin, quickly resulting in a sweat that starts at the top layers of skin. This engages the body’s natural cooling mechanism, sweat. The instant sweat generated in a traditional sauna typically is made up of 97% water and 3% toxins and fatty acids.

Far Infrared however, is absorbed deep into our bodies, down to a much deeper level where toxins & fatty acids are stored. This results in a much deeper & more concentrated sweat, generally around three times as much as that experienced in a traditional sauna. We have adopted a philosophy of producing ear candles that are free of chemicals or chemical residues and are as pure as possible. We have therefore chosen to use only pure bees wax & 100% unbleached cotton. In line with this philosophy we have purposefully avoided the use of paraffin wax (which has a petro chemical base) and fabric, which has been bleached with chlorine

“Healing the Child Within” means going back to look at your childhood and dealing with the unfinished business.  We are not going back to blame our parents, we are going back to give our Inner Child what he/she needed then and did not get.  In order to do this we have to look at where our child may be causing us grief in our lives today.  In order to heal our emotions we have to come out of hiding and trust someone.  For your wounded inner child to come out of hiding he/she must be able to trust that you will be there for him/her.  When our Inner Child is blocked, we are robbed of our natural spontaneity and zest for life.  Over time this may lead to low energy, chronic or serious illness.  When our Inner Child is hidden we also separate ourselves from others.  They never get to see our true feelings and wishes; they never see who we really are.  This makes it impossible to experience true intimacy with others.  We never get to truly know each other.  What a tragedy and loss this is.

“Healing the Child Within” Workshop will show you a way to contact, reclaim and nurture your Inner Child.  We will look at the non-logical ways our vulnerable, needy and boundary-less child found to survive.  In a supportive and non-shaming group environment, we will show you how to use your adult self to protect and support your wounded child as he/she completes important unfinished business.
